it might not be wise to breed two Red Suns together, though, the majority of their young will survive through adulthood like normal Red Factor Sun Conures.

"Here is what we know, when you pair two reds you sometimes get a bronze mixed in with the red babies. It is the bronze baby that does not live past weaning. Bronze babies remains have been necropsied. They say it seems to be a culmative gene, like too many red factors breeding. Since the bronze baby does not happen in every clutch of two red suns, it is hard to determine what is really going on. The best advice from vets is to not breed two red suns. These red suns came from Hawaii, that is all we know about the breeders. They apparently bred their most red together until they got the red factor suns. "

Since, both babies are considered 'Double Factor Sun Conures' by many , though, are very different, a name is currently being determined to differentiate between the two.
